Step by step usage

  1. Examine the example and prepare the blank file

Do not write the hours per person as the total of the entire team. If times vary across the team, calculate weighted hours per person or use separate work lines. Hourly cost is the operating cost you determine. Material and transportation areas are the total cost of the job; otherwise enter 0. Use the yellow input fields on the tracking page; Do not change the blue formula fields. The sample sheet is filled with fictitious records and does not count towards the actual work total.

  2. Write actual records in the yellow fields

Person-hours are number of persons × hours per person. Labor person-hours × cost per hour; direct job cost is labor + materials + transportation. The bid contribution is calculated by subtracting the direct cost from the bid amount. The number of people must be a positive integer. The top summary shows total cost, total contribution, and total person-hours. An empty mandatory field is distinguished from a real zero. Correct missing or incorrect records in the control column; Since these lines are excluded from the summary, do not use the total as a final report until the problem is resolved.

  3. Fix control alerts and review summary

Confirm labor time with field crew. Reconsider offers with negative contributions.
