Step by step usage

  1. Enter actual period data

Replace the sample values with your own business's data for the same date range and the same unit of measure.

  2. Read the result and assumptions together

At each interval, the planned and required active capacity is compared. The positive buffer is shown as the upper limit that can be taken for a break at the same time; Skill and uninterrupted service rules are also checked. Examine the result not just as a single number but for its sensitivity to change in inputs.

  3. Save the scenario and measure again

Once you make a decision, write down the input and the date. Do not use the entire tampon at once. Maintain role and skill minimum. Update the plan when actual volume deviates.

What does this tool calculate?

Subtract the safe break capacity and recommended break distribution from the hourly need and planned crew count.

formula

Safe break capacity = maximum(0, planned active person - required person)

Calculation method

At each interval, the planned and required active capacity is compared. The positive buffer is shown as the upper limit that can be taken for a break at the same time; Skill and uninterrupted service rules are also checked.

Worked example

14:00 planned: 18. Required: 15. 15:00 planned: 16. Required: 16. Result: The theoretical break capacity becomes 3 in the 14:00 interval and 0 in the 15:00 interval; breaks are shifted to the first interval.

How should the result be interpreted?

Do not use the entire tampon at once. Maintain role and skill minimum. Update plan when actual volume deviates

Common usage mistakes

Mistaking a planned squad for an active squad. Counting short breaks twice at the interval limit. Considering every agent in the same skill pool

Limits of the model

The tool does not automatically optimize break order or employee preferences; Produces interval-based safe upper limit.

Is your data safe?

Calculation and file analysis runs in your browser. The operation files you upload are not sent to a server by this tool.

Frequently asked questions

If the break capacity is 3, can three people go out at the same time?

Only if the role, skill and other operating conditions are appropriate. It may be necessary to leave an additional safety margin before completely exhausting the buffer.

What should I do if the volume estimate changes?

Update the required contact values; If the actual intraday volume deviates greatly, re-run the break plan.
